Macro Fun

After a wonderful Saturday spent with my girlfriends, I am a woman of few words today!  So hopefully you will just enjoy these photos I took out in the yard today.  Happy Spring!

I thought he OD'd on pollen but after a nap he got right back at it!

Ready for your closeup Mr. Bee?

Anyone who knows me knows how much it freaked me out to take this picture!!! And now to look at it!

Templeton and Pismo Beach

On the Friday of my trip to the central coast I drove north to an office in Templeton.  The drive itself was so beautiful and a nice change of pace, as I had been going south daily.  Going north meant going up in elevation and it was a stunning drive where I even saw long-horn cattle.

Templeton, CA

Looks like the Windows home page!

These pictures just make me smile...such beauty

Clouds rolling in

After work, Eric and I went to a couple of wineries on our way to dinner in Pismo Beach.  Our first stop was at Chamisal.

It's a great blend of Indiana farm country and California sunshine
And then we went to Ventana Grill on the coast in Pismo Beach...just in time to catch sunset.

Old spiral staircase that used to be attached to the restaurant

This seagull got a great spot to watch the sunset

Lompoc

On a recent work trip to the central coast of California I drove to an office in Lompoc (pronounced Lom-poke).  The drive was beautiful and I was able to snap a few photos.

Vineyards

And more vineyards

The doctor in Lompoc told me to drive straight down her road and I would find the ocean - beautiful.

Morro Bay

I was recently lucky enough to work on the central coast of California, a part of Cali that I had not previously visited.  What a beautiful area!  I was first going to post one blog of photos but I took so many, in so many different little cities where I visited doctor's offices, that I decided to break it down into a few different blogs.  This one is from my first day where I drove to Morro Bay.  It was actually a rainy and overcast day, something that is as rare to them as it is to us here in Phoenix.  But the clouds make a nice addition to the photos and I didn't get too wet.  I hope you enjoy!

A bit of sunshine between rainfalls

Tiny little flower so I had to write LoVE around it!

What a perfect spot to watch the sunset!

Next I went over to the harbor

I love all the lines

Kayak rental closed up for the day

The on-and-off rain didn't stop the paddle boarders

On my way out I saw this kind of swamp land...very pretty

Stay tuned for pictures of the sand dunes and wine country and sunset on the Pacific!
