New England 2018

This year I planned my New England business trip one week later than the previous year in hopes of better foliage.  Well, it didn't quite work out the way I planned.  There were torrential downpours in Maine, gray cloudy skies in New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island with intermittent rain showers, and cold, blustery temperatures.  I thought for sure all of my photos would be shit.  So I was pleasantly surprised to have a few decent ones to share with you all. I hope you enjoy my Fall Foliage.

Somewhere in Maine

I was in so many states I honestly don't remember which state this was!

I will take any of these homes!

I believe this was near Rye, NH

Or any of these homes!

Even though the temps were cold, there were monarch butterflies everywhere!

I can't help but think of Henry David Thoreau when I'm in this part of the country so I will leave you with two of his quotes:

"This world is but a canvas to our imagination."

"Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?"

Cottonwood and Jerome

It's been so long since my last blog post that I had to relearn the ins and outs of Blogger! I may be blogging less but I'm reading more so...there's that!  Thankfully I have something to finally share, as we recently went north to Cottonwood for some wine tasting and then spent a few hours in Jerome the following day.  I'm hoping you'll enjoy a couple of my favorite AZ towns in photos.

We started with a bite to eat and some wine at Page Springs Vineyards in Cornville.

Delicious charcuterie

Next we stopped at my very favorite winery, Chateau Tumbleweed.

Their newest white - and it has a squirrel!

After this wonderful tasting we checked into our cute little hotel in Old Town Cottonwood.

Once we were all checked in for the evening we were able to walk up and down main street doing more wine tasting and looking in the cute little shops.

We had dinner at Merkin.  If you have not been - RUN!  They have THE BEST PASTA EVER!

We tried everything!

And if you don't know what it is, Google "Merkin" for fun!

We ended the evening on the patio of State Bar

The next morning we had a very nice breakfast at 3 Kings Kasbar.

And then we headed up the hill to Jerome.

Not a bad view!

Little shops everywhere

It was a very nice weekend with friends and I look forward to going back for a visit soon!
