Escape to Colorado

When I first met my now-husband, 15 years ago this month, I had never been camping, had never been off-roading, had not been an outdoors girl at all. Now, I still wouldn't claim to be an "outdoors girl", but I have done the things and I enjoy the things in small doses.  I have to say, though, that I have never enjoyed it as much as I did on this trip. Like most everyone else, we have been on lockdown for months. We had to cancel our trip to Morocco in April. It's currently 141° here in Phoenix so now we can't even enjoy much outside of our air-conditioned home. So this was a much-needed road trip. And I never would have seen so much beauty if not for Eric and his RZR. To be able to zip out of the cute little town of Silverton and go up, up, up to 13,000 feet and see snow and hear nothing but the chirps of marmots and the wind in the trees. I never would have had that experience without him. It was our medicine for COVID--19...if only temporary. I hope you enjoy the pictures even half as much as I enjoyed the time away.

Oh, and I apologize in advance for the enormous quantity of photos below. There was just SO MUCH BEAUTY and I really wanted to share it!
