Arizona Wine Country

It had been quite a while since Eric and I took a road trip up north.  I had almost forgotten how beautiful it is.  We recently spent some time in Washington wine country where I "ooohed and ahhhed" over the stunning scenery; only to be reminded yesterday of the beauty in my own backyard.  The cumulus clouds were an added bonus.  Oh, and some delicious Arizona wine to round out the day.

Cornville, AZ is home to a few Arizona wineries; plus, it's just a great city name!

It was a beautiful day for a drive and the red rocks of Sedona could be seen in the distance.

Our first stop was Javelina Leap Vineyard.  The wine was not bad but we missed their dog, Vinnie, who used to great us!

Next we went to Alcantara.  We had tried their wine in the past and loved it, but this was our first visit to the vineyard.  So glad we went...beautiful surroundings, lots of kitties, and fantastic wine!

Our last stop was at the always lovely Page Spring Cellars

They had live music on the deck and the sun was setting.  We enjoyed some bruschetta and a couple glasses of wine.  I also found more artwork from one of my favorite local artists, Raina Gentry...now to find some frames!

Good times in Cornville! Hope you all had a great weekend!
